The Cinematic Orchestra
The Cinematic Orchestra is a U.K.-based jazz and electronic outfit, created in the late 1990s by Jason Swinscoe, which records on the Ninja Tune independent record label. Other members include Tom Chant (saxophone), Phil France (double bass), Luke Flowers (drums), Nick Ramm (piano), Stuart McCallum (guitar); former members include Jamie Coleman (trumpet), T. Daniel Howard (drums), Alex James (piano), and Patrick "PC" Carpenter (turntables).

忌野清志郎、林小和生、破廉ケンチからなるハードフォークトリオとして1970年、「宝くじは買わない」でデビュー。 1972年、3rdシングル「ぼくの好きな先生」がヒットするが、その後は鳴かず飛ばずとなり、また所属事務所内の争いに巻き込まれ、なかば活動休止状態になり、破廉が脱退。 1970年代後期から、エレキロックバンド形態に移行し、仲井戸麗市、新井田耕造、G2を新メンバーに迎える。奇抜なメイク、ファッション、何者にも媚びない言動、そして何よりも音楽性の高さより、1980年頃より人気が出る。 その後も日本のロックバンドの代表的存在として活動するが、1990年12月25日の10回目の日本武道館クリスマスライブをもって無期限活動休止（事実上の解散）となる。

マッシヴ・アタック（Massive Attack）はイギリス・ブリストル出身のユニット。2006年までに5枚のスタジオ・アルバム、1枚のベスト・アルバムをリリースしている。また、他のアーティストのリミックスも多数手がけている。 ヒップ・ホップ、レゲエ、ジャズ、ソウル、ロックなど様々なサウンドをミックスしたダークで重く、気だるい浮遊感のあるサウンドが特徴で、そのサウンドはトリップ・ホップと言うジャンルで語られる事となる。 1982年にブリストルでワイルド・バンチ（ Wild bunch）と言うサウンドシステムが結成された。ロバート・デル・ナジャ（3D）、グラント・マーシャル（ダディ・G）、アンドリュー・ヴォウルズ（マッシュルーム）とネリー・フーパー、DJ マイロが中心となり、活動を行う。その後フーパーとマイロが脱退する事でワイルド・バンチは解散、残ったメンバーがマッシヴ・アタックとしてブリストルを拠点に活動を継続する。1988年にシングル"Any Love"をリリース（プロデュースは同郷のスミス・アンド・マイティ）。

She is also the Goddaughter of Joe Strummer, the late singer/guitarist for The Clash. Allen has released two hit albums as of 2009: "Alright, Still" (2006) and "It's Not Me, It's You" (2009).

Skalpel are Marcin Cichy and Igor Pudlo DJs/producers from Wroclaw, Poland. Being new recruits of Ninja Foreign Legion, they are rather hesitant to speak about their past. However, there they are among the best-known and most respected DJs and producers about, with even a Paszporty Polityki (a prestigious, mainstream cultural award) nomination to their name. Four of their mixes were aired on Solid Steel in the past, two of which were released on the "Virtual Cuts" mixtape. In 2000 along with DJ Vadim and his Russian Percussion, they've toured the country presenting an amazing 4-deck show.
