    The String Quartet Tribute is a series of string quartet covers released by Vitamin Records by several different groups of musicians. They focus on one band per record, and perform classical versions of their songs, generally note for note. They use a wide array of instruments but focus mainly on violins and cellos. Over the years, they have put out a staggering number of albums (232), honoring both mainstream and indie groups alike. They have put a classical spin on many genres of music, including rock, pop, punk, techno, hardcore, country, metal and rap.

    Sylvia Striplin is a New York based jazz and R&B vocalist. Striplin has worked with funk, jazz, and soul, vibraphonist Roy Ayers, who helped her release her 1981 album "Give Me Your Love" on the Uno Melodic record label. Striplin, along with Marva Hicks found some solo success after being in the group Eighties Ladies. She was also a part of the group, Aquarian Dream. Her song, "You Can't Turn Me Away" is featured on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, playing on quiet storm station VCFL. This song also serves as the basis for the Notorious B.

    Mulatu Astatke

    Mulatu Astatke (var. Astatqé) is an Ethiopian musician and arranger. He is known as the "Father of Ethio-Jazz." Born in 1943 in the western Ethiopian city of Jimma, Astatke was musically trained in London, New York City, and Boston, where he was the first African student at Berklee College of Music. He would later combine his and Latin music influences with music. In 2005, his music appeared on the soundtrack to the Jim Jarmusch film Broken Flowers (actually, it inspired the film).

    エレクトリック・ライト・オーケストラ (Electric Light Orchestra) は、イギリスのバーミンガム出身のロックバンド。 ザ・ムーブからの発展という形で1970年に活動を開始、1971年にレコードデビュー。1970年代から1980年代にかけて世界的な人気を博した。1970年代のアメリカで最も多くの（ビルボード40位以内の）ヒット曲を持つバンドであり、「ビートルズよりもビートルズらしい曲を持ったバンド」とも言われた。略称ELO（イー・エル・オー）。「ロックとクラシックの融合」を目ざし、全盛期には「世界、最小で最高のオーケストラ」と言う称号を得た。 レコードデビュー後しばらくの間、ロックバンドにストリングス楽器担当（チェロ2名、バイオリン1名）がメンバーとして在籍するユニークな編成で、クラシックの弦楽三重奏の要素を取り入れた独特のサウンドが特徴だった。 1974年発表の『エルドラド』でストリングス・アレンジにLouis Clarkを迎えて以降、レコーディングではロックバンドとフル編成のオーケストラ・サウンドを融合させた楽曲アレンジを構成するように変化し、バンド内のストリングスメンバーのサウンド面への貢献は減少した。

    Voxtrot is an indie pop rock outfit from Austin, Texas. The quintet is fronted by Ramesh Srivastava and also includes Jason Chronis, Mitch Calvert, Matt Simon, and Jared Van Fleet. Their debut, Raised By Wolves EP was released in 2005 under their own independent label, Cult Hero Records. In March of 2006, Voxtrot released their second EP entitled, Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives EP, which was followed by Your Biggest Fan in November of that year.

    The Langley Schools Music Project is a collection of children's chorus recordings made from 1976-77 by Canadian music teacher Hans Fenger in a school gymnasium in Langley, British Columbia, near Vancouver. The students beautifully performed pop hits by the likes of The Beach Boys, David Bowie, and Paul McCartney. The recordings were quickly forgotten until author, radio DJ, and "outsider music" enthusiast Irwin Chusid rediscovered them in 2000.
