Female singer Ikue Asazaki(朝崎郁恵)was born in 1935 in Kedomi, Setouchi-Cho of Amami Oshima. She has one of those voices that immediately grabs the attention. Slightly deep, a bit hoarse, obviously that of an old lady that conveys a wealth of emotion.

Yellow Magic Orchestra
イエロー・マジック・オーケストラ（Yellow Magic Orchestra）は、1978年に結成された日本の音楽グループ。略して「YMO」（ワイ・エム・オー）と称する。 YMOはテクノの歴史の中でも初期のグループであり（当時は具体的に「テクノ」というジャンルはなく、それは後に定着したものである）、また彼らの音楽にはロックの要素もあったことから、現代のようなテクノにカテゴライズできるとは簡単には言い切れない。しかしここでは、日本のテクノ最初期のグループとして紹介する。 細野晴臣（ベース） エイプリル・フール、はっぴいえんど、ティン・パン・アレーを経て、YMOを結成。YMOのリーダー・プロデューサーであり、シンセサイザーとコンピュータを用いるYMOの音楽スタイルを打ち出した。宗教や民俗学など神秘主義的な趣味があり、それらもYMOに影響を与えている。ライブではほぼベーシストに徹し、特筆すべきはシンセサイザーをベース代わりに演奏していたことである（ただし、曲によってはエレクトリックベースを使用している部分もある）。YMO散開後は特にアンビエント、エレクトロニカ等のジャンルを取り入れている。

Joanna Newsom (born January 18, 1982) started taking piano lessons at a very early age and played for a couple of years, but switched to the harp at seven. Her approach to the harp, from the percussive aspects of her playing to her chord changes, was also influenced by West African and Venezuelan harp music, which she began studying at a folk music camp she attended in her early teens. At the same time, she also listened to more vocal-based folk, punk, and jazz like Karen Dalton, Texas Gladden, Patti Smith, and Billie Holiday.

Pete Namlook (born 1960 as Peter Kuhlmann /ˈpʰei.teər ˈkuːl.maːn/, in Frankfurt, Germany) is an ambient and electronic-music producer and composer. In 1992, he founded the German record label FAX +49-69/450464, which he oversees. Inspired by the music of Eberhard Weber, Miles Davis, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chopin, Wendy Carlos, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd, he also composes his own albums. Bill Laswell (born February 12, 1955 in Salem, Illinois and raised in Albion, Michigan) is an American bassist, producer and record label owner. He is married to Ethiopian singer Gigi.

青森市で過ごした幼少時よりピアノを始める。 青山学院高等部在学中よりジャズクラブ等で演奏、1972年 頃よりティンパン・アレイ系のセッションメンバーとして活動を始め、ニューミュージック黎明期の欠かせない顔となる。 1976年、ローウェル・ジョージをはじめリトル・フィートのメンバーと共にLAにてレコーディングを行った「JAPANESE GIRL」でソロデビュー。「天才少女現わる」と話題を呼ぶ。 1979-80年、YMOの2度のワールドツアーにサポートメンバーとして同行。1981年、シングル「春咲小紅」が大ヒット。 以後も、普遍的な「愛」をテーマに、神出鬼没のピアノ弾き語り「出前コンサート」、児童詩・童謡とのジョイントや、ジャズ・ロックからクラシックまでの幅広いミュージシャン達との交流を持ち、ポップスのフィールドに居ながらも常にジャンルにとらわれない自由・ユニークで質の高い活動を続け、評価を得ている。若い世代のミュージシャンからの支持も多い。

Seazer enjoyed popularity among students in Japan during the 1960s, and worked closely with director Shuji Terayama until Terayama's death. He is a member of the theatrical company Experimental Laboratory of Theatre ◎ Universal Gravitation (演劇実験室◎万有引力, Engeki-Jikkenshitsu Ban'yū Inryoku?), better known as just Ban'yū Inryoku.
