    Rodrigo Y Gabriela

    Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero are two , Dublin-based Mexicans with a unique sound created on . Their music is difficult to define, straddling both and and often imbued with timeless Hispano – classical influences. The fire in it comes from their life-long passion for music. In spring 2006, “Rodrigo y Gabriela,” beat both the Arctic Monkeys AND Johnny Cash to number one in the Irish charts. Both the artists and their third self–titled album have gone on to enjoy international success since its initial release in early 2006.

Based out of Toronto, Parallels is quickly building a loyal following since their formation in October 2008. Cameron Findlay, is the former drummer of Canadian electro group, Crystal Castles. While on tour in 2007-08, Findlay spent much of his free time recording demos of what would later become the foundation of Parallels’ current repertoire.

    ELO

    Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) was a very successful rock music group of the 1970s and 1980s, formed in Birmingham, England. They incorporated the sounds of string ensembles, vocoders and dub echos into rock songs, thereby creating a very sophisticated studio version of rock. The musical content of ELO songs often went far beyond usual chord structures, mixing pop songwriting with classical romanticism and synthesized sounds. The band claim that their music ‘picks up where The Beatles left off.’

    Blondie is perhaps the most commercially successful band to emerge from the 1970s scene. They formed in New York in 1974. The original lineup consisted of Clem Burke (drums), Jimmy Destri (keyboards), Debbie Harry (vocals), Chris Stein (guitar) and Gary Valentine (bass). Blondie released their first album Blondie in 1976. The album was mildly successful and spawned the Australian hit single "In The Flesh".

    Wax Tailor

    Wax Tailor is the trip hop/hip hop producer Jean-Christophe Le Saoût from Paris, France. After two EP's, he released his first album Tales of the Forgotten Melodies in March 2005, mixing , and , and a second, Hope & Sorrow in April 2007. After being a host on a French radio in the Paris suburb of Mantes-La-Jolie, JC Le Saoût started the French Rap band la formule in the 1990's. He created his label Lab'Oratoire in 1998 and produced records from La Formule as well as Break Beat compilations and a collaboration with the Swedish band Looptroop.
